  18. CTL3D.DLL    Must be located in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
  19. DESKMENU.EXE Any directory.  Must be located with DESKMENU.HLP.
  20. DESKMENU.HLP Any directory.  Must be located with DESKMENU.EXE.
  21. DESKMENU.STP Any directory.  Must be located with DESKMENU.EXE.

  24. Creating the icon
  25. -----------------
  26. If you already know how to install a Windows application, then place the 
  27. executable file (DESKMENU.EXE) wherever you like.  Otherwise, copy the 
  28. program file into your Windows directory and run Windows.  Then, 
  29. follow these steps:
  30.  
  31.     1. In the Program Manager, open your Main icon ( if it is not 
  32.        already open ).
  33.  
  34.     2. Select the File menu in the menu bar of the Program 
  35.        Manager and make the New... selection
  36.  
  37.     3. When the dialog box opens, press the OK button.
  38.  
  39.     4. If you are using Windows 3.1, at this point you need to
  40.        press the BROWSE button to open the file selector.
  41.        Use the controls in this window to display the directory
  42.        that contains the files in the DeskMenu! archive.
  43.  
  44.     5. In the file selector, scroll down to the bottom of the list.  
  45.        Double click on DESKMENU.EXE.
  46.  
  47.     6. When you are ready, press OK and OK again.
  48.  
  49. The DeskMenu! icon should now appear in your Main group.  The 
  50. program can be run by double clicking on the new icon.
